Zoller scores

1-1 against Bologna

1. FC Köln drew the first friendly match of the betsafe training camp against Italian side Bologna FC with a score of 1-1. Simon Zoller scored for FC.

Both teams looked to go forward in the opening stages but it was the Italians that drew first blood. In the ninth minute, Bruno Petkovic got at the end of a Bologna corner to put the Italians up a goal. It was just moments later that Yuya Osako had to be substituted off after having taken a knock to the ankle. FC did not have to wait too long for an equalizer with Simon Zoller finishing off a spilled ball in the box. There was some confusion leading up to the goal with protests of offside, but the goal was given in the end.

FC came out in the second half with nine changes to the side that finished the first half and continued to push forward. The best chance came in the 83rd minute when Pawel Olkowski sent a low cross across the box, but Sehrou Guirassy could not get his foot on the end of this dangerous cross. In the end it was a deserved draw for the two sides.
