Two free kicks for FC

2-2 against Linz

1. FC Köln and LASK Linz tied 2-2 on Tuesday night in Kitzbühel, Austria.

It was the second match in as many nights for 1. FC Köln in Kitzbühel on Tuesday evening. Following Monday's 1-1 draw against Italian side Bologna FC, Peter Stöger's men were facing local Austrian side LASK Linz on Tuesday.

The match got off to a good start for FC when Milos Jojic converted a direct free kick in the 14th minute. It was a superb effort from the Serbian, whose strike from 23 meters went into the top corner. However, the Austrians made sure to make this match an exciting one. Bruno Souza da Silva converted the equalizer following a defensive mishap by FC and then just four minutes later it was Rene Gartler who put Linz in front after converting a tap-in.

Stöger once again made major changes to his side at the half. Making his long-awaited comeback was Marcel Risse, who had been out of action since November 2016 due to injury. FC pushed forward in hopes of finding the equalizer, which finally came in the last minute of play. It was once again a direct free kick but this time it was struck by Sehrou Guirassy, who opted for the goalkeeper's top corner. It was an excellent effort to ensure FC came out of the match with a draw.
