The kit, which was chosen by the FC kit commission, has the logo of FC campaign “LEBE wie du bist” (“live as you are”) on the inside of the neck and is made of 100% recycled polyester. The material is derived from old bottles and fishing nets, amongst other things.

The new away strip also had “1. FC KÖLN – SPÜRBAR ANDERS” on the inside and outside of the neck, with the claim “1. FC KÖLN X HUMMEL” on the hip as an element combining both partners.

“With the red away kit in the sleek block stripe design, hummel and FC are going through the Bundesliga stadiums and standing together for our shared values. We are really pleased that we will not just set the tone in a sporting sense, but send a message for society in this kit,” explained FC Managing Director, Philipp Türoff.

„Both hummel and 1. FC Köln live their values with full conviction and without geographic or intellectual boundaries – and that’s exactly what we want to express with the new away kit. There’s nothing like away days when the entire FC family supports this great club in large numbers – no matter where it goes.
