The new home kit for the 2022-23 Bundesliga season expresses what makes this relationship so special: a tradition that lives, a feeling of togetherness that goes through the generations and shared values which are the binding elements for the start in the club’s 75th season. On 13th February 2023, the fans will celebrate a landmark FC birthday. The new home kit is now available for €79.95 (adults, FC members €71.96) or €59.95 (kids, FC members €53.96) in FC fanshops and online at www.fc-fanshop.de.
The strip, which was chosen by the FC kit commission, takes inspiration from the engagement of our partner in terms of sustainability, inclusion, and diversity. It is made from 100% recycled polyester, featuring “1. FC KÖLN – SPÜRBAR ANDERS” on the inside and outside of the collar and the claim “1. FC KÖLN X HUMMEL” at the hip. On the inside of the neck, the logo of the FC campaign “LEBE wie du bist (live as you are)” can be found. Another sign of acceptance, diversity, and equality as well as against both discrimination and exclusion.
“From the idea about our values to the design – everything about the new FC home kit is in line with the innovative and creative ideals which bring FC and hummel together. FC Köln has been a binding force through the generations: “If your dream of the good old days in the kit of today is made tangible, because of what you feel, what brings you together – then you wear FC on your heart and on your sleeve. Yesterday, today, forever!” The best proof of this is for FC legend Heinz Hornig, who presents the new home kit on behalf of the cup heroes of 1968.
The Danish sporting goods brand hummel look back proudly on an almost 100-year-old history and is one of the oldest team goods providers worldwide with a large tradition in football.
