24/7 FC continues to be the only sports documentary which is produced and released during the ongoing season. The storybook is current and the reality – without a narrator, without a script and without knowing what will happen. In the past season, the documentary took in the rollercoaster ride of a topsy-turvy season and the challenges that came with the Corona pandemic. The new season of 24/7 FC will continue to provide exclusive behind-the-scenes moments at a Bundesliga club. The second season will bring you even close than before, with small microphones under the kit on the pitch. It’s not just what is seen, but what is heard.
Overall, there are eight episodes planned for the second season. These will be found, as was the case beforehand, on the platform. “The positive response from our fans, as well as other football supporters, led us to continue the one-of-a-kind concept that is 24/7 FC,” said FC managing director, Alexander Wehrle. “At the same time, it was important for us to continue to develop the format further. With the mic’d up aspect of our players, we enable even more in-depth viewing.”
“We are all behind this project at 1. FC Köln, including our coaching staff and our players,” said FC manading director, Horst Heldt. “The guys who produce 24/7 FC are part of the team’s closest circle – and this trust on both sides is something that can be seen in every seen. Nothing is faked or calculated. Everyone who watches the documentary experiences FC how it is: honest, emotional – on bad and good days.”
24/7 FC is the biggest moving picture project in the history of 1. FC Köln. Flutlicht-Film OHG, who have been the FC-TV producers for years, are behind the documentary. The team will be constantly followed with cameras and produced at the same time. During the 2020-21, eight episodes are planned at a regularity of every 4-6 weeks. Due to licencing reasons, 24/7 FC must be streamed as paid content from the club and can’t be published on YouTube.
