A true Kölner is staying put at FC. Ally Gudorf has extended her contract with 1. FC Köln until 2023. The winger has made her way through all youth academy teams up to the first-team and was part of the under-17 team crowned West German champions in 2017. After a year in the USA, she returned to Köln in August 2020 and secured promotion back to the Bundesliga. In the previous campaign, Gudorf helped the team secure survival for the first time in club history.
Ally Gudorf grew up in Köln and celebrated her 21st birthday last week. Last season, the former German youth international featured in 18 of a possible 22 Frauen-Bundesliga games.
Ally Gudorf said: “It means a lot to me to continue playing for 1. FC Köln. FC is my club and I’m heading into my 11th season here. Staying up was an important step for us. I’ll give everything to make sure that we’ll also be successful this time around.”
FC head coach, Sascha Glass added: “Ally is our Kölner in the team and we’re really happy that she’s staying with us. She has a lot of pace out wide, never tires and always wants to win. She plays with passion, gives 100% every game and her positive mindset is also unbelievably important for our team.”
