It’s here!

Closer than ever before with 24/7 FC

1. FC Köln will go through the 2019-20 season with a documentary. You can now secure all episodes and be closer than ever before to the team.

Achim Beierlorzer’s emotional team-talk in Freiburg. Jhon Cordoba’s reaction when the game turns around. Kingsley „Easy“ Ehizibue with Hennes IX and Jonas Hector with his friends in the Saarland. Jorge Meré’s being consoled following his red card against Hertha. The nervous-feeling after the derby and the scenes following the last-minute equaliser in Gelsenkirchen. With “24/7 FC”, you can experience these moments and more as if you were part of the team.

1. FC Köln are the first Bundesliga club to produce a documentary during an on-going season, giving a deep insight behind closed doors. Therefore, FC have started the 24/7 FC, where the first three episodes of the documentary under the same name can be found. There is no narrator, no storyline – no-one knows how it will go. “Therefore, our true FC fans and those who support other clubs come closer than ever before,” said FC managing director, Alexander Wehrle. “It’s definitely an adventure for us, because we produce the episodes during the season. It’s current, with no huge time difference when all has already come and gone.”

For FC managing director, Armin Veh it is incredibly important, that the entire documentary is watched over by the club’s media department and Flutlichtfilm OHG, who have been behind FC-TV for years. “These are people who have our 100% trust and can move around with the team without instruction. As a result, every fan and every viewer feels a closeness that is immediately present. With 24/7 FC, you see how we work together.”

Since the beginning of the season, the players and coaches have been followed with a camera. In August, FC released a pilot under the title of “24/7 Effzeh – Spürbar anders” on YouTube, which received widespread praise. “This pushed us on to make a documentary,” said Wehrle. Due to licencing reasons, the episodes will only be available as paid content through the club’s own platform. A single episode costs €2,99 and the so-called “Bock-set” with all previous and future episodes costs just €13.99. With a 24-hour delay, “24/7 FC” is also available for DAZN subscribers or those with a trial month.
