At the end of October, the DFB-Pokal second round takes place and 1. FC Köln will be making their way to Stuttgart. After the penalty shoot-out win in Jena, the FC players are set to make the trip to the Baden-Württemberg capital. The draw was conducted by canoe Olympic gold medallist, Ronald Rauhe. DFB Integration Ambassador Celia Sasic was also present, alongside host Jessy Wellmer.
FC head coach, Steffen Baumgart said: “Stuttgart is a good opponent from the Bundesliga. It is a nice away game – we want to be a difficult opponent and progress to the second round.”
VfB against FC is no new tie in the DFB-Pokal. The game on 26th/27th October will be the eighth meeting between the sides in the competition.
