In the coming season, I want to confirm myself as an important part of the team and make the next step in my development.”

FC head coach, Steffen Baumgart said: “Salih is an absolute integration figure here at FC. He was born here, his footballing roots are in Köln and he completely identifies with the club. He has already gathered a lot of experience but is still a young player that can still develop at the same time. He fits perfectly into the profile of the player which we want to work with in the future. I am convinced that he can bring his qualities onto the pitch with FC much more regularly than previously. That is what I expect from him. I am looking forward to working with Salih.”

Jörg Jakobs said: “I am pleased that Salih’s journey at 1. FC Köln has not come to an end and that his development with us continues. I am expecting that he will be a valuable part of our team in the coming seasons.”
