Safety is secured in the FLYERALARM Frauen-Bundesliga for next season, now the FC Frauen are able to announce their first new signing. Lotta Cordes will join 1. FC Köln from VfL Wolfsburg. The 20-year-old midfielder has come through the ranks at Wolfsburg to move into the first team. In the past campaign, she was part of the squad that were able to crown their season with the DFB-Pokal. Cordes has made 11 Bundesliga appearances, featured in five Pokal games and played four Champions League matches. She has also appeared in 64 2. Bundesliga games. Cordes also has experience with both the Germany under-19s and under-20s.
Lotta Cordes said: “I’m really looking forward to playing for FC in the new season. The discussions with those responsible were absolutely convincing and I didn’t have any doubts that FC would stay up this season. FC are no normal club that got promoted and want to keep developing. That fits to me personally. I hope that I can become an important Bundesliga player in Köln.”
