FC loan out Noah Katterbach

1. FC Köln have loaned out Noah Katterbach to FC Basel until the end of 2022.

1. FC Köln have loaned out Noah Katterbach. The left-back will play for Swiss top tier club, FC Basel until the end of the year.

Jörg Jakobs, sporting director, said: “We have been in regular contact with Noah since the summer about his sporting perspective here. We are pleased that we found a good solution with the loan to a top club in Switzerland. It is important for Noah that he earns his game time and features at this level, in order to continue his promising way in professional football.”

Noah Katterbach said: “The last six months were not easy for me. You have to learn to get on with things when it isn’t always going in the right direction. I have kept working on myself and played in the Regionalliga. With the move to FC Basel, who have played a strong season so far, I hope to give myself a new impulse and push my sporting development further forward.”

Noah Katterbach was born in Simmerath on 13th April 2001. Since 2008, the left-back has been with 1. FC Köln and played in all the youth teams at Geißockheim before making his Bundesliga debut on 5th October 2019 against FC Schalke 04. He has since went on to take 40 appearances in the top flight. The two-time Fritz-Walter Medal winner is currently a German under-21 international.
