FC Frauen are back in the Bundesliga and have extended the contracts of two of the players who helped them to promotion. Alicia Gudorf and Yuka Hirano have signed new deals until summer 2022.
Alicia Gudorf is from the FC academy. The 20-year-old wide player has come through all the youth teams at Geißbockheim up until the first team and was part of the side that were crowned U17 West German champions in 2017. After a year studying in the USA, she returned in August 2020 to FC. In the current season, she has played 12 games and scored three goals.
Nicole Bender, FC Frauen Sporting Director, said: “We can all be very proud of the development that Ally Gudorf has gone through. She is one of our own and is currently blossoming in our first-team. We are working on being able to bring more players up from our academy. Ally excels with her pace and her tackling out wide and we have a lot to look forward to.”
Alicia Gudorf: “I am really pleased to be able to continue at my childhood club. I have used the past year to gain playing time. I am pleased that we got promoted and are back in the Bundesliga. I am convinced, that we have a bright future ahead of us.”
Yuka Hirano joined FC in 2019 from Nojima Stella Kanagawa Sagamihara. The 24-year-old completed a trial at FC and quickly made the step from the second to first team from there. The Japan native has made 16 Bundesliga appearances and has 22 2. Bundesliga games under her belt.
Nicole Bender said: “Yuka is a player who is very versatile and also very dependable. She is willing to learn and in her two-and-a-half years at the club, she has taken a real step forward. She has bedded in really well, despite having to learn a new language, and always has a smile on her face.”
Yuka Hirano: “I am really pleased to be playing for FC. We managed to secure our first goal, the return to the Bundesliga. Now we will do everything to stay up in the coming season. I am honoured to be able to play my part in that.”
