FC player speaks about the HSV game

Höger: “We must show a different face”

FC player, Marco Höger spoke about the upcoming game against Hamburger SV, the four goals conceded against Duisburg and the heart attack suffered by Markus Anfang’s father.

Marco Höger about…

…the away game in Duisburg and the heart attack suffered by Markus Anfang’s father: “The head coach informed us before training, how it was with his father and how everything went on matchday. We’re thinking about him and his family. You see that there are other things that are more important than football. The game and the result are in the background. We must now see to it that we have a balance between personal and sporting focus. There’s not much time. We must work on what didn’t go well against Duisburg and show another side to ourselves on Monday.”

…conceding four goals in Duisburg: “We made too many individual mistakes and after the fourth goal, when we had the game in our hands, we were too lax. With the experience that we had on the pitch, we should be been more serious and came away with the 4:2.”

…the game against HSV and the end of the season: “We must see to it that we win our next games and earn our points as quickly as possible. Naturally, Hamburg is a huge game – first against second. But we must concentrate on ourselves and not make the mistakes, which we made against Duisburg. Then I’m positive, that we can get a result in our favour. Hamburg have been on a promotion place for a while. In the Rückrunde, they’ve had a few more problems than in the Hinrunde. But I don’t believe they’ll come here nervous.”
