Transfer to Hoffenheim

Kevin Vogt leaves FC

Midfielder Kevin Vogt will transfer within the Bundesliga to TSG Hoffenheim. His contract with 1. FC Köln was set to run until 2017. The two clubs have agreed not to disclose the transfer fee.

Kevin Vogt arrived at 1. FC Köln from FC Augsburg at the start of the 2014/15 season. During his time at FC the 24-year-old featured in 55 Bundesliga matches (1 goal) and five matches in the DFB Cup. In the second half of this past season Vogt lost his starting berth in the team. For the start of the new season he has decided to ply his trade at TSG Hoffenheim.

“Kevin came to us with a desire to transfer. We were able to reach an agreement with TSG Hoffenheim for a transfer, even though we were reluctant to let go of Kevin,” said FC General Manager Jörg Schmadtke. “Kevin came directly after our promotion and played an important role in the team that enabled us to maintain our place in the Bundesliga these past two years. We wish him all the best in his future.”

Kevin Vogt states: “I would like to say thank you for two great years at 1. FC Köln. A special thank you goes out to the entire team that played their part in establishing FC in the Bundesliga again. Following a difficult Rückrunde for myself, I have come to the decision to take on a new challenge. I wish the club nothing but the best going forward.”
