For the 2016-17, she joined Bayern Munich and has been with them ever since. The 19-year-old wing-back was under-17 German champion with Bayern, as well as winning the 2. Bundesliga title with the reserves.
In the past season, she was also part of the squad that were crowned FLYERALARM Frauen-Bundesliga champions. In 2. Bundesliga, Donhauser made 55 appearances and scored seven goals. For the first-team, she made her debut this season with two Champions League appearances under her belt.
For the German youth sides, Donhauser has played through the under-16s through to the under-19s. In 2018, she took part in the 2018 World Cup with the Germany under-17s, as well as finishing runners-up in the European Championships in Lithuania. As part of the under-19 side, they reached the 2019 European Championship final against France.
Nicole Bender, FC-Frauen Sporting Director, said: “We’re pleased that we were able to convince Laura our of concept and that she’s now part of the club. Laura is a huge talent, who has been superbly developed by Bayern. She is quick, a good runner, technically very good and, despite her position, a threat to goal.”
Laura Donhauser said: “I wanted a new challenge, in order to prove myself in the Bundesliga. FC are a great club, and I am really looking forward to the new experiences and my future team-mates. I want to develop myself further at FC and do my bit to make sure we reach our team goals and stay in the Bundesliga.”
