Beierlorzer’s coaching staff

Pawlak and Schmid will be assistant coaches

1. FC Köln have brought together the managing team for the new season. André Pawlak and Manfred Schmid will be the assistants to new head coach, Achim Beierlorzer.

As interim head coach, André Pawlak and assistant coach, Manfred Schmid helped to make sure of 1. FC Köln’s promotion. Both will remain with FC as they head into the Bundesliga. Pawlak and Schmid will be the assistant coaches for the coming season to Achim Beierlorzer.

André Pawlak joined 1. FC Köln as under-17 head coach in 2017 and in October 2017, took over responsibility for the under-21s. In summer 2018, FC let the Gelsenkirchen-born coach complete his coaching badges. From November 2018, he was again in charge of the under-21s and led an incredible revival to safety as Rückrunde champions. In March, he completed his coaching badges.

Manfred Schmid return to FC at the beginning of March as chief scout, after he had been with the club between June 2013 and December 2017 as assistant coach.
