Record revenue and profit

FC Managing Director Alexander Wehrle presented the financial figures for the 2015/16 season at the Mitgliederversammlung (Club Member’s Meeting) on Monday night. 1. FC Köln is making a positive development as it was once again announced that revenue and profit hit new records.

With a generated revenue of € 107 million and a profit € 10.5 million before taxes in the 2015/16 season, 1. FC Köln has once again achieved record results. The new figures were presented on Monday, 26 September 2016 at the Mitgliederversammlung (Club Member’s Meeting) of 1. FC Köln.

“We continued our positive development in the past season just like we have in previous years, although the season 2015/16 was a positive surprise in that it was an even bigger step than prior,” said FC Managing Director Alexander Wehrle. The record results came as a result of the increased broadcasting figures, an increase in the placing of the TV standings, increased merchandising revenue, and a positive result in the transfer market.

The 1. FC Köln debt decreased at the end of the 2015/16 season to € 19.9 million (minus €3 million), while equity increased to € 9.2 million (plus € 6.4 million).

  • Annual Profit after Taxes: € 6.4 million (Past year: € 2.7 million)
  • Operating Income: € 21.9 million (Past year: € 15.5 million)
  • Equity: € 9.2 million (Past year: € 2.7 million)
  • Net Debt: € 19.9 million (Past year: € 22.9 million)
