Sebastian Andersson is still feeling the effects after a training injury at the start of the season. Since then, he has been troubled by a bone edema that has, so far, not been able to be brought under control with either training control or treatment. Despite the complaints, Andersson continue to play on for 1. FC Köln in the Bundesliga.
“Sebastian came here to play. That's why he went through the pain barrier, he really wanted to put himself at the service of the team in difficult times,” says FC managing director, Horst Heldt. “But he is still in pain and cannot put 100% weight on his knee. That is why we decided, together with the medical department, that Seb would sit out team training until further notice so that his knee could rest. He will take a break first, and then work individually. "
