1. FC Köln have loaned out Mathias Olesen until the end of the season. He will play for Swiss Super League club Yverdon-Sport FC.
FC Managing Director, Christian Keller said: “Mathias has constantly developed in his time here at FC. In order to continue this development, Mathias now needs more and more regular game time. Therefore, we’ve decided for a loan move to Yverdon-Sport FC.”
Mathias Olesen joined 1. FC Köln in Summer 2019 from Eintracht Trier, featuring for the under-21s from 2020 onwards and worked his way into the first-team setup. The Luxembourg international trained with the first-team for the first time under Steffen Baumgart and made his Bundesliga debut in March 2022 against Borussia Dortmund. He also featured in both UEFA Europa Conference League Play-off games against Fehérvár FC.
