Information on accreditation for men's and women's first team matches
Accreditation for the men’s first team’s home matches at the RheinEnergieSTADION:
Step 1: Register yourself as a company using the company type ‘Presse’. Afterwards, you can log in right away - without waiting for further confirmation.
Step 2: Add one or more employees to the portal. Every employee must confirm the media guidelines sent to them by email to be authorised to submit accreditation requests. If you have not received the email or are seeing an error message (“At least one confirmed employee is required”), you can request the email again by clicking on “Actions” in the top right-hand corner of the respective employee profile and select “Resend document upload mail”. You will then be sent the email to confirm the media guidelines again and can accept them via the link in the email.
Step 3: Once the employee has been authorised, you can apply for an accreditation (plus a parking space) under the ‘Events’ tab. Events for media representatives are marked with an (M) after the event name (1. FC Köln – Opponent (M)). Requests made for an event without the (M) marking will be rejected.
Step 4: Once the accreditation deadline has passed (five working days prior to the match), applications will be reviewed and approved journalists will receive a confirmation email containing a QR code. The QR code must be used to print the accreditation upon arrival at the Media Entrance on the West side of the stadium on match day.
Important: Only full-time sport journalists who can provide proof of an official press card are entitled to the photo and press accrediation. As official press ID we accept the following:
- VDS (Verband Deutscher Sportjournalisten)
- DJU (Deutsche Journalisten-Union) - verdi.medien
- DJV (Deutscher Journalisten-Verband)
- AIPS (Association Internationale de la Presse Sportive)
- BDZV (Bundesverband Deutscher Zeitungsverleger)
Accreditation requests for our home matches must be submitted by 12:00pm with at least five working days’ notice before the match. Requests submitted after the deadline can and will not be considered.
By submitting the accreditation form, you confirm that you are aware of, and will strictly obey, the accreditation guidelines and the regulations of the German Football League (DFL).
If you have any questions regarding accreditations, please contact Julia Kirch (kirch@fc.de).
Accreditation for the women’s first team’s home matches at the Franz-Kremer-Stadion:
Accreditations for the women’s home matches will also be handled via the accreditation portal mentioned above. The official accreditation deadline expires on the Wednesday prior to the respective home match. Requests submitted after the deadline can and will not be considered.
If your request for accreditation has been approved, you will receive your confirmation via email and it will be available for collection at the media entrance on match day.
If you have any questions regarding accreditations, please contact Daniel Misterek (misterek@fc.de).

Accreditation for academy home matches at the Geißbockheim and in Efferen
Access to pitches 6 and 7, as well as to the artificial turf pitch at the Geißbockheim and the grounds for FC matches at BC Efferen, is restricted to accredited media representatives across all age groups.
After you have successfully applied for accreditation, a confirmation mail will be sent to you. On the day of the match, you must show the confirmation mail and a valid form of ID at the entrance. Only those who have successfully applied in advance will be granted entry. Photography is not permitted without prior registration, either inside the venue or in the stands. This rule also applies to parents and guardians.
Guidelines for accredited photographers
The following rules apply for photographers:
- Under no circumstances may anyone enter the pitch. The exception to this rule are media representatives from the clubs.
- The photographer must remain exclusively within the designated areas behind the goal lines. A minimum distance of 3 metres from the pitch, 10 metres from the goal and 5 metres from the corner flag must be maintained.
- The flow of the game, the refereeing team and the coaches’ and substitutes’ areas must not be disrupted.
- Approaching or contacting players is not permitted.
