Almost a year-and-a-half after the announcement of co-operation, adidas and 1. FC Köln have officially started their long-term partnership. To start things off, the brand with the three stripes and FC presented the new home jersey for the 2026/27 season and the associated campaign, which links back to the shared history with the help of a few legends: the Franconian sporting goods manufacturer was the official kit supplier for the legendary Double success of 1977/78, as well as the DFB-Pokal wins in 1977 and 1983. adidas and FC also worked together between 2005 and 2008.
The start to the partnership and the launch of the new home kit will be followed by a campaign, centred around a 90-second launch video. It shows how the one-of-a-kind football craziness from the people in Köln flows around the city in an entertaining and humorous way. A simple radio broadcast about the partnership develops into a dynamic all of its own in the clip, peppered with Cologne-style truths, pipe dreams and powerful emotions.
adidas and 1. FC Köln don’t just celebrate the pure football craziness in the clip through several cult figures from Cologne but with FC legend Wolfgang Overath, ex-captain Jonas Hector and current players Timo Hübers, Laura Feiersinger, Laura Vogt, Vanessa Leimenstoll, Marvin Schwäbe and Rav van den Berg as well as BAP frontman, Wolfgang Niedecken. BAP classic “Verdamp lang her” brings the film to life. Every scene shows what makes FC so special: football in Cologne is much more than sport and part of the one-of-a-kind togetherness.

Marina Moguš, Managing Director for Central Europe at adidas, said: “There are very few clubs that shape their city as 1. FC Köln does. FC is a key part of daily life for the people in the city and brings fans across the generations together. We’re really excited that our partnership is now officially starting. With the new home kit, we are celebrating this moment and are looking ahead with huge excitement at everything that will follow.”
Philipp Liesenfeld, Managing Director for Marketing and Sales at 1. FC Köln, said: “We are really excited to be working with a world-wide leading sporting goods manufacturer again, and to have a partner at our side that was part of the most successful time in our club’s history. adidas have a clear perspective on the connection between football, sport and culture. Together, we want to bring the FC to life far beyond matchdays, to inspire the FC family and new audiences.”
The new home kit, which will be unveiled as part of the launch of the partnership, will be worn by both the 1. FC Köln women’s, men’s and academy teams during the 2026/27 season. The teams will take to the pitch in a classic white jersey with red and black accents. Key design features include the iconic adidas three stripes, a V-neck, high-quality embroidery of the FC and adidas logos, and an FC print on the back of the neck. Climacool technology wicks away moisture and ensures cool, dry comfort without distractions, whether on the pitch or in your free time.
The 1. FC Köln home jersey for the 2026/27 season is now available in selected adidas stores, online at adidas.de, in official fanshops and the 1. FC Köln online shop at fc.de, as well as from selected retail partners. The adult version of the home jersey costs €99.95 (€89.96 for FC members) and €74.95 (€67.46 for FC members) for the kid’s version.
