1. FC Köln have signed Reigan Heskey. The 18-year-old attacker has joined FC from the Manchester City under-21s and has signed a deal until 30th June 2031.
“Reigan has developed incredibly well in the past few years with Manchester City and is one of the most exciting attacking talents in his age group. His development is not over by a long stretch. We see a lot of potential in him, and we are convinced that he can make the step up to the next level at FC. In René, we also have exactly the right coach to guide him along this path, thanks to his motivational approach and his excellent rapport with young players. Reigan has a lot of qualities: he’s physically strong with a real eye for goal. He has a lot of pace, and is able to play in several positions,” said FC Managing Director, Thomas Kessler.
“I was really keen to join 1. FC Köln to take the next step in my career. My discussions with those in charge have shown me that my style of play is a very good fit for the club. I’m looking forward to the challenge of playing in the Bundesliga and want to make the most of this opportunity to prove myself here. I’m ready,” said Reigan Heskey.
Reigan Heskey was born on 18th January 2008 in Liverpool. He is the son of former England striker and Premier League legend, Emile Heskey, who featured in over 500 Premier League games and scored over 100 goals. Reigan, who grew up in Australia, joined the Manchester City Academy at the age of 8. At 16, he was called up to the under-21 side. On his debut in the 2024-25 season, he scored a hattrick against Norwich. After 18 goals and nine assists, Heskey had made a name for himself and, on 24th September 2025, made his first-team debut in the League Cup tie against Huddersfield Town. Pep Guardiola brought on Reigan and his brother, Jaden late on in the game. He’s also been a regular at England youth level, scoring seven goals in 22 games across the under-17s, 18s and 19s.
