1. FC Köln's DFB-Pokal first round tie against SV Sandhausen has been scheduled by the DFB. On Thursday morning, the game against the 3. Liga side was confirmed to be played on Sunday, 18th August. Kick-off a tthe GP Stadion am Hardtwald is at 15:30 CEST.
FC Managing Director, Christian Keller described Sandhausen as a "strong 3. Liga team" and one who will "have clear ambitions to get promoted from the start of the season and will, therefore, give us nothing in the DFB-Pokal. We expect a cup fight but that is exactly what makes this competition what it is. We're looking forward to it."
