Linton Maina went through the ranks at SV Pfefferwerk and SV Empor Berlin before he joined the Hannover 96 youth academy in 2014. He made his debut for Hannover on 18th March 2018, as he was brought on against Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga.
The winger joined FC on a free transfer for the 2022-23 season. Since then, Maina was a regular winner of the fastest player of the match, earning him the nickname "Sprinton".
