Marvin Schwäbe came through the ranks at TSG Hoffenheim, winning the under-19 German Championship with Hoffenheim in 2014. In the same summer, he signed a professional contract with the Kraichgau club. During his time in Osnabrück, the goalkeeper was chosen as Niedersachen's Footballer of the Year for the 2015-16 season. One year later, Schwäbe won the European Championship with Germany's under-21s. In 2018, he made the move to Bröndby IF and was crowned Danish champion in 2021.
Bremen defender Anthony Jung was also part of the Bröndby team and both shared a close freindship. As a child, his older brother Kevin often took him to wrestling, with Kevin being a multiple-time German champion. Marvin also wrestled when he was young and said it helps him to stay cool during one-on-ones.
