The defender went through the academy at Hannover 96. In the 2021-22 season, FC managed to secure the services of the centre-back, who had already turned out for the club previously. In the 2015-16 campaign, he was in the under-21 squad and made 21 appearances.
Hübers, who loves to travel and learn new cultures, comes to training every day on his bike. He scored Goal of the Month for May 2023, scoring the fourth goal with a flying back-heel volley in the 5:2 win against Hertha BSC. In 2019, Hübers completed his Bachelor in the field of economics at Leibniz University Hannover. Three years later, he completed his Masters after writing about the topic of "Influence of Personality on the Gender Pay Gap".
