Elias Bakatukanda will remain for Austrian Bundesliga side, FC Blau-Weiß Linz for the upcoming season and continue his development there. The FC Academy graduate joined Linz for the second-half of the season and will now spend the 2025-26 campaign there.
“We are delighted that Elias will be able to continue his development at Blau-Weiß Linz in the coming season,” said FC Sporting Director, Thomas Kessler. “The first six months, especially the Championship play-offs, were very encouraging. The close contact with the club and Elias has paid off – and that’s why we’re very much looking forward to continuing the good relationship surrounding the loan with the clear goal of seeing Elias in an FC kit soon.”
Elias Bakatukanda was born in Köln and made his through the FC Academy from the under-8s until he made his first-team debut in September 2024 against FC Schalke 04. In January 2025, he extended his contract at FC until 2028 in order to gain match practice on loan in Linz. This has now been extended for a further season.
