1. FC Köln will not make use of the option to buy for Cenk Özkacar. FC Managing Director, Thomas Kessler confirmed the decision on Tuesday afternoon. The Turkish centre-back was loaned out from Valencia CF and made 27 appearances for the club.

To fight for this badge and to play in front of these incredible fans was an unforgettable experience. I wish everyone the absolute best for the future. The club and the people in Köln will always have a special place in my heart,” said Cenk Özkacar.
FC Managing Director, Thomas Kessler said: “The departure is one that really hurts. He is a great character that, even when we told him of our decision, he wished us all the best for the future. He is a very positive person and that was seen in the dressing room. Despite that, we decided not to make use of the option to buy because we are looking for a different profile at centre-back. We wish Cenk all the best for the future.”
