Emin Kujovic has signed his first professional contract with 1. FC Köln until 30th June 2028. Kujovic will start pre-season with the first-team on Monday, with the plan to loan out the 20-year-old in the 2025-26 season to gain minutes at a high level.
"Emin has the qualities to play Bundesliga football sooner or later. We are convinced of that and that's why we extended his contract. At the same time, we clearly spoke to him and have said that he needs to make the next step by playing regularly at a higher level. That's why we are working on a loan for Emin in an environment, where he will have the chance to do so," said Lukas Berg, FC Technical Director.
Emin Kujovic said: "I am a Kölner and grew up here, the fans and the atmosphere in the entire club is indescribable. Therefore, I am unbelievably happy and thankful to have signed my first professional contract. I am looking forward to the path ahead and, over the step between, want to reach my goal of playing in RheinEnergieSTADION."
