FC sign Jakub Kamiński permanently

6/3/2026

He started all 36 competitive fixtures, scored seven goals and set up a further five. These numbers show just how important Jakub Kamiński was to 1. FC Köln in his first season at the club. After the end of the campaign, FC made use of their option to buy the Polish international following his loan move from VfL Wolfsburg.

"Kuba's character impressed us from the very start in his first discussions with the club. He is modest, full of desire and a team player. In the past season, he proved those qualities on and off the pitch every day," said FC Managing Director, Thomas Kessler. "That's why it was quickly clear that we wanted to make use of the option to buy. His development and his performances are a very good example of 1. FC Köln being a great place for ambitious players to keep developing at a huge level and make the next step in their career."

The 23-year-old Pole has huge amounts of experience despite his age. At the age of 17, he made his debut for Lech Poznan and helped his club to the Polish championship. He featured for Poland for the first time at 19 and, in 2022, made his World Cup debut and joined VfL Wolfsburg. Kamiński has 104 Bundesliga appearances to his name.
