1. FC Köln and 1. FC Heidenheim have agreed on a deal for Leart Paçarada. The left-back has left FC after two seasons and joined the Voith-Arena side.
“In his time at FC, especially last season, Leart’s performance and engagement played a pivotal role in our return to the Bundesliga. We are very thankful to him for that. Throughout pre-season, it became clear that it would be difficult for him in the new season to take on the role asked of him. After open and honest talks about his sporting perspective, we decided the best course of action and the best option for both sides would be a move away from FC. We wish Leart and his family the very best,” said Sporting Director, Thomas Kessler.

Leart Paçarada arrived on a free transfer in summer 2023 from FC St. Pauli. In his first season in the Bundesliga, the Kosovo international made 17 appearances. After relegation, the 30-year-old featured 31 times in the 2. Bundesliga, registering eight assists and helping FC return to the Bundesliga.
