1. FC Köln and Fortuna Köln have come to an agreement on the transfer of Neo Telle. The centre-back has joined the Südstadt club.
“In the past summer, we had already spoken to Neo intensively about the next steps in his development and his perspective at the club. The loan, which all parties had pushed for, didn’t come to fruition and now we looked at his situation again. The fact that Neo has decided on change and for a new environment to take those next steps is understandable. We wish Neo all the best in the Südstadt and for his career,” said Lukas Berg, 1. FC Köln’s Technical Director.
Neo Telle joined FC in 2013 in the under-9s and spent three years at the club before leaving to join Vorwärts Spoho Köln and 1. JFS Köln. In 2019, he returned to FC and went through all academy teams before winning the under-19 DFB-Pokal in 2023. With his strong performances that followed, he managed to work his way into the first-team and made his debut in February 2025 against FC Schalke 04. He also featured against Fortuna Düsseldorf and SC Paderborn. This season, he made eight appearances for the FC under-21s in the Regionalliga West.
