Laura Donhauser was born on 4th September 2001 in Amberg. The wing-back, who can also play further forward, was part of the FC Bayern München academy. Donhauser, alongside Andrea Gavric, was part of the Bayern under-17 side that won the German Championship in 2017. She also made 55 appearances for the under-20s, winning the 2. Bundesliga in 2018-19 and then the Bundesliga with the senior squad in 2020-21. In 2020, she made her first-team debut against Ajax Amsterdam in the UEFA Champions League before joining FC in summer 2021.
Donhauser was part of the Germany youth setup from the under-16s through to the under-19s. She was part of the under-17 side that took part in the 2018 World Cup in Uruguay and finished as runners-up in the European Championships. One year later, she was in the under-19s and finished as runner-up again in the Euros to France.
