Lilith Schmidt was born on 8th June 2006 in Hachenburg. In summer 2022, she joined 1. FC Köln as one of the top talents in German football and with plenty of success in the German youth ranks.
On 15th May 2022, she was crowned under-17 European Champion alongside Sandra Walbeck with the DFB in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the final in Sarajevo, Germany beat World Champions Spain 5:4 on penalties. In the same year, Schmidt was part of the under-17 side that finished fourth in the World Cup in India.
Lilith is a central midfielder and very comfortable on the ball, able to dictate the tempo of the game. Her move to FC meant that she moved into the Sport Boarding School here in Köln. In the 2022-23 season, Schmidt was part of the under-20 side in the 2. Bundesliga.
