Wilde grew up with positives elements from both cultures, she learned to be disciplined and determined to work hard for what she wanted and, at the same time, to appreciate the good things that came her way. At the age of three, she was already part of a swimming club but decided to start playing football soon after. Wilde spent her time playing football on local pitches and perfected her technique as a street footballer.
The midfielder was talented and made her way through the Germany youth setup. In 2012 she was part of the side that were crowned under-17 European Champions. Two years later, Wilde was an under-20 World Cup winner.
Manjou Wilde spent time with SV Werder Bremen, SC Freiburg and SGS Essen. In summer 2021, she made the move to 1. FC Köln. Her mentality makes her someone to look up to within the team.
