1. FC Köln have loaned out Sargis Adamyan to SSV Jahn Regensburg until the end of the season. For Adamyan, it is a return to his former club. The 31-year-old made 69 appearances for Regensburg between 2017 and 2019, scoring and setting up a total of 37 goals. The forward has featured seven times this season for FC.
FC Managing Director, Christian Keller said: “For Sargis, it is very important that he finds confidence in his game again. The loan to Regensburg is the right step for that. Sargis knows SSV Jahn and the surroundings there very well and shouldn’t need too long to acclimatise. With plenty of minutes and, in the best case, goals and assists he should help Jahn to stay in the league.”
Sargis Adamyan said: “The move to get more game time is an important one for me. For that reason, I’m happy that I now have the chance to do that in Regensburg. I wish FC and my team-mates the best for the second-half of the season and, hopefully, it ends in promotion.”
Adamyan has been with 1. FC Köln since summer 2022. In 60 games for FC, across the Bundesliga, 2. Bundesliga, UEFA Conference League and DFB-Pokal, the Armenian international has scored four goals and assisted a further seven. His contract at FC runs until 30th June 2026.
