FC start pre-season with 18 goals
1. FC Köln got off to a winning start under Gerhard Struber thanks to a 18:0 friendly win against VfL Rheingold Köln-Poll.
Fast start
The game got its first goal in the second minute as Sargis Adamyan’s effort was adjudged to have crossed the line. The first-half continued to play out in only one direction as Luca Waldschmidt converted from the spot to double the lead moments later.
Waldschmidt scored his second before an Eric Martel brace. The pair then traded goals up to the end of the first period allowing both to notch up their hat-tricks. FC went into the half-time break with a 7:0 lead.
11 goals follow in the second-half

The first 20 minutes in the second period saw Struber’s side score six, with doubles from Damion Downs and Steffen Tigges as well as Meiko Wäschenbach and Mathias Olesen getting on the scoresheet.
Denis Huseinbasic, Jaka Cuber Potocnik and Florian Dietz also added to the scoreline, with Damion Downs grabbing a further two goals to take his personal tally to four and round off an 18:0 FC win.
