Florian Dietz joins SCR Altach on loan
The next loan for the second-half of the season has been confirmed. Florian Dietz has joined Austrian Bundesliga side, SCR Altach until the end of the season.
“As we extended with Flo in the summer, we had already spoken about a possible loan in winter. Now we’re doing just that. Flo fits Altach’s style well and to the Austrian Bundesliga, meaning that the conditions for a profitable loan are there,” said FC Managing Director, Christian Keller.
“I’m looking forward to the chance to move to Austria and the Bundesliga to get more game time. I wish FC all the best for a successful second-half of the season,” said Florian Dietz.
Florian Dietz joined 1. FC Köln in summer 2021. The striker joined the under-21s from SpVgg Unterhaching, scoring 13 goals in the 2021-22 campaign and played himself into reckoning for the first-team. He then signed his first professional deal with FC in May 2022. He scored his first senior FC goal in the UEFA Conference League first leg tie against Fehervar. He also found the back of the net in the 4:2 home win against 1. FC Slovacko and the 2:2 draw in Leipzig. However, at the end of October 2022, he suffered a serious knee injury against Hoffenheim and was out of action for a year. In the current campaign, the 26-year-old has made four appearances.
