Hübers: “We have to take a look at ourselves”

“The result isn’t what we imagined,” said FC captain, Timo Hübers following the 2:2 draw with Elversberg on Saturday afternoon. Towards the end of the game, the team gave everything and pilled on the pressure, which Hübers viewed positively: “It could have been avoided had the game not gone the way in which it did, we have to take a look at ourselves in that respect.”

The man who scored the equaliser in the 84^th minute was referring to the dominant 45 minutes in the first-half. “We wouldn’t have to battle as we did at the end had we put the game to bed in the first-half. We left the door open and Elversberg took their chance directly after half-time.” The hosts turned the game around in 15 minutes: “We didn’t close the space well and didn’t defend our final line well.”

Hübers summarised the first two games: “We had good periods in both games but not over the 90 minutes. We are missing the efficiency and lacking that clinical nature as well as being consequent at the back, in order to turn good performances into good results.”
