Imad Rondić joins FC

1. FC Köln signed Imad Rondić before the Winter transfer window came to a close on Monday. The 25-year-old striker has joined from Widzew Łódź and signed a contract until 2029 at FC.
The Bosnian forward has featured 18 times in the Ekstraklasa this season, scoring nine times and assisting two further goals. He has also featured twice in the Polish Cup. The 6 ft 3 tall striker will now wear the number 27 for FC.
“In Imad Rondić, we have signed a valuable option for our attack. As a classic forward in the box, as well as someone who works incredibly hard and intensively against the ball, he fits really well into the profile we were looking for. At the same time, from our first meeting, we felt a very strong commitment to 1. FC Köln. We are really looking forward seeing Imad in red and white from today on,” said FC Managing Director, Christian Keller.
“I am really happy to now be at FC. As soon as I heard about the interest, there was no doubt in my mind and it was immediately clear what I wanted to do. I can’t wait to get onto the pitch with my new team-mates. I always want to win and will do everything in power, that we return to the Bundesliga with FC’s incredible fans,” said Imad Rondić.
Imad Rondić was born on 16th February 1999 in Sarajevo and took his first footballing steps with FK Željezničar Sarajevo. In 2014, he made the move to FK Olimpik Sarajevo and two years later joined FK Mladost Doboj Kakanj’s under-19 setup. In the second-half of the season, he joined FK Sarajevo. After that, Rondić joined Slavia Prague, spending time with the reserves and then going on loan to FK Viktoria Žižkov. In January 2020, he joined Slovan Liberec and made the breakthrough into first-team football (115 games, 18 goals and 10 assists). Since summer 2023, Rondić featured 55 times for Widzew Łódź (16 goals, five assists).
