At the age of 5, Sargis Adamyan and his family moved to Germany from Armenia. He took his first foot balling steps with 1. FC Neubrandenburg 04 and FC Hansa Rostock, where he would make his first-team debut in 3. Liga in 2012-13. After spending time at TSG Neustrelitz and TSV Steinbach, he joined SSV Jahn Regensburg.
On 29th July 2017, he made his debut in 2. Bundesliga. He impressed for Jahn and that earned him a move to TSG Hoffenheim in 2019. In total, he made 53 competitive appearances for the Sinsheim side. The Armenian international joined 1. FC Köln in July 2022.
