Lotta Cordes was born on 27th April 2001 in Nienburg an der Weser. The combative midfielder enjoyed her footballing education with VfL Wolfsburg and won the German Championship with the under-17s in 2018, scoring twice against FC in their 4:1 win. With the Wolves, she made the step up to the first-team squad and won the DFB-Pokal in the 2020-21 season. A year later, she won the double.
Cordes also featured in the UEFA Champions League for Wolfsburg. Meanwhile, she turned out for the Germany under-19 and under-20 sides. After securing safety for in the 2021-22 campaign, Cordes was the first new signing for the following season.
