1. FC Köln are able to plan with another important player for the upcoming 2. Bundesliga campaign. Timo Hübers said: “In the past three years, the club, the city and the people here have found a place in my heart, especially the loyal FC fans and their emotional nature. With the power and presence that the club has behind us, I want to lead from the front next season as one of the experienced players. I want to bring the club back to where it belongs.”

FC Managing Director, Christian Keller said: “With his quality and experienced, Timo is an important pillar in our team. Timo has the desire to take on more responsibility in the future and to be more of a leader. His commitment to FC is therefore not only another very strong signal, but also something close to his heart. I am very happy about that.”
