Camps and Training
1. FC Köln have started a programme for international talent. Up to 30 youth academy players, aged 17-21, have the chance to learn from a qualified coaching team at the 1. FC Köln Football School for 3-12 months.
Since 2018, 1. FC Köln has been running and organising this very successful program with four partners. Warubi Sports / Germany Soccer Academy (North America), Soccerlife and Improve (Japan) and BP-Sports (Brazil) have helped to build up the program to what it is today.
The qualified and experienced coaching staff guarantee an optimal football development. The players will train five times a week, every morning at the Ostkampfbahn – right in the view of 1. FC Köln’s home, the RheinEnergieSTADION.
The development concept will see up to two friendlies a month against, amongst others, other partner clubs of the FC Football School. Along with that, the players will be observed by scouts from 1. FC Köln’s youth academy.
Away from the pitch, the programme offers further opportunities to develop. After training, the players will take part in a language course at the renown Kölner German Language School. The players present will all live in Köln. The FC partners, GK Football Exchange, Football Total and Soccerlife organise trips, accommodation and the language course. 1. FC Köln Football School is responsible for the footballing development side of matters.

Five training sessions every week and two friendly matches every month
All the sessions are conducted by professional coaches from 1. FC Köln (UEFA A-Licence)
Video analysis, performance assessment and athletic tests
A stadium tour and visit to 1. FC Köln training sessions, as well as attending an 1. FC Köln Bundesliga home game
Each participant receives training gear from the 1. FC Köln Football School
All the participants will be observed by the professional scouts 1. FC Köln and the talented players have the opportunity to train in the 1. FC Köln youth teams
At the end of the program, each participant will receive a certificate from 1. FC Köln, including a personal performance report.

Squad International Talent Program
In the shade of the RheinEnergieSTADION, kids with a passion for football have the opportunity to spend four exciting days immersed in the beautiful game. Under the guidance of experienced FC coaches, campers will focus and improve on the four key footballing concepts of dribbling, passing, shooting, and movement.
Professional players on the 1. FC Köln men´s and wome´s team regularly visit the stadium camps. Stadium tours are also offered by supporting programs. Football camps start at 9:30 a.m. and end at 3:30 p.m. every day. Kids may arrive as early as 9:00 a.m. and stay until 4:00 p.m.

At every 1. FC Köln home game, the Football School offers kids the opportunity to take part in a training session under the direction of an FC coach and then run into the RheinEnergieSTADION as a flag bearer. An unforgettable highlight for every football fan!

You can build your training camp in consultation with us from the modules below, and we will create an unforgettable experience for your team. In specialist training courses, one specific topic will be taken on and trained intensively. The topics are based around different techniques or positions in a football match. The training rundown is identical to the additional training courses.

Additional training for goalkeepers and outfield players
With the additional training programme at the 1. FC Köln Football School, all interested youth players can also continue to hone their skills outside of the school holidays. No matter whether you’re a beginner or using it alongside training at your club, the courses offer the opportunity to work on different points of focus and improve.
