Damion Downs joined 1. FC Köln from FC Ingolstadt 04 in 2020. He worked his way up through the academy and helped the under-19s to win the DFB-Pokal der Junioren in 2023, scoring a brace in the final against FC Schalke 04. Downs made his first-team debut for FC on Matchday 5 of the 2023-24 season, away from home against Werder Bremen.
