Jonas Urbig was born in Euskirchen in 2003 and comes from the club's own youth department. He played for FC's youth teams from 2012 to 2022 and won the championship title with the U17s. In the 2022/23 season, he was loaned out to second-division club Jahn Regensburg and in the 2023/24 season to Greuther Fürth. Before returning to FC for the 2024/25 season, the Euskirchen native scored a total of 50 times in the Bundesliga 2 (17 times for Regensburg & 33 times for Fürth). Urbig also played for the German U-national teams from the U17s to the U21s.
