The midfielder, who was born in Kirchen near Sieg, will be in the FC professional squad for the first time in the 2024/25 season. Wäschenbach moved from FC Hennef 05 to the FC U17s in 2019 and captained the U19s to the DFB Cup title win against Schalke 04 in 2023. The 178cm right-footer also played five games for the German U18 national team.
