The defender and five-time Polish champion will join FC Women from Bayer 04 Leverkusen at the start of the season. Matysik was born on 20 May 1997 in Wolsztyn, Poland, and initially played for Orkan Chorzemin, Grom Wolsztyn and Medyk Konin in her home country. With Konins, she won the Polish championship twice in a row (2013/14 and 2014/15 seasons) and the national club cup three times. She moved to KS AZS Wrocław in 2015 and joined Górnik Łęczna two years later. The full-back also enjoyed a very successful time there. With Łęczna, she became Polish champion three times in a row from 2018 to 2020 and won the cup in 2018 and 2020. In the summer of 2020, she moved to the Bundesliga with Bayer 04 Leverkusen. Matysik played 60 times for Bayer in the Bundesliga and six times in the DFB Cup.
Matysik became European champion with Poland's U17 team in 2013 and made her debut in the senior national team on 14 January 2015 against Iceland.
